As part of its ongoing programme exploring sustainability, culture and community, Gardens of the Future invites participants to discover the rich tradition of Fythkiotika textiles through a hands-on embroidery workshop in the heart of Nicosia.
Taking place on Saturday, 26 September, the workshop will introduce participants to the fundamentals of cross-stitch embroidery while drawing inspiration from one of Cyprus's most distinctive textile traditions. Through guided activities, attendees will create their own contemporary piece inspired by traditional Fythkiotika patterns, weaving local heritage into modern design.
Set within the Gardens of the Future community space, the workshop offers an opportunity to slow down, learn a new skill and connect with others in a relaxed and creative environment.
No prior embroidery experience is necessary.
