Turkey and Iraq have signed a one-year agreement aimed at ensuring the effective use of the crude oil pipeline linking the two countries, according to Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar.
In a post on X, Mr Bayraktar said the arrangement serves as a transitional agreement while discussions on a longer-term framework continue.
"As our efforts continue towards a long-term agreement for this pipeline, we are implementing this interim agreement, which covers a daily capacity of 750,000 barrels of oil," he said.

The agreement provides for the transport of up to 750,000 barrels per day during the one-year period.
