UN Envoy María Ángela Holguín's plans to visit Cyprus on September 10 have been cancelled, Politis sources confirmed on Saturday.
Though her initial visit had been delayed due to illness, she was slated to arrive on Thursday, 10 September marking her first visit since UN Secretary-General António Guterres came to the island late July.
Sources however confirmed to Politis that these plans have now been cancelled as she has doctor's orders not to fly.
It is understood that Holguín hopes to meet the two leaders on the sidelines of UN General Assembly in New York.
Plans
Holguín had initially planned to arrive on September 7, and make it to the upcoming leaders' meeting on September 9.
Those plans were changed due to illness, with the date then changed to September 10. She was due to stay on the island until the next leaders' meeting, slated for the the following week.
