The Council of Ministers is meeting today for its second session following President Nikos Christodoulides' recent cabinet reshuffle.
According to government sources, the agenda includes a proposal from the Ministry of Education for the operation of three additional full-day schools.
New projects in Larnaca
The Cabinet is also expected to examine two proposals submitted by the Ministry of Justice and Public Order concerning the construction of:
- A new Fire Station in Larnaca
- A new Larnaca Police Headquarters
Both projects form part of broader efforts to upgrade public infrastructure in the city.
Multiple sclerosis strategy
Also on the agenda is a proposal for the creation of a national strategy for multiple sclerosis and the establishment of a national committee dedicated to the condition.
The initiative aims to improve coordination of policies and services affecting people living with multiple sclerosis.
Other issues under discussion
According to the same sources, ministers may also discuss:
- Subsidy-related issues from the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment
- The six-month fiscal policy report from the Ministry of Finance
