Turkish Cypriot commemorations at Kokkina concluded on Saturday, with participants returning to the north shortly after 2pm.
Around 1,250 Turkish Cypriots attended the events, according to Andreas Karros, chairman of the Committee for the Opening of the Tylliria Crossing Points.
Arrivals by road and sea
Participants travelling by road were transported to Kato Pyrgos, Tylliria, in 50 minibuses, including two vehicles carrying media representatives from the north.
Others arrived by sea from Kyrenia, with a passenger vessel and several smaller boats entering Kokkina Bay.
Military helicopters also landed in the area carrying Turkish Cypriot officials. The Turkish Cypriot leader was believed to have been among them.
The return of participants to the north was completed shortly after 2pm.
