A 27-year-old man of Indian origin was recovered dead from the sea off a beach in Protaras on Wednesday evening.
An ambulance was called to the scene and transported the man to hospital, where doctors confirmed his death.
According to initial police findings, criminal activity has been ruled out.
The exact cause of death will be determined during a post-mortem examination, which is expected to be carried out at a later date.
