Cyprus' unemployment rate fell to 3.0% in June, down from 3.1% in May and 4.5% in June 2025, according to figures published by Eurostat.
The result places Cyprus alongside Bulgaria as the country with the lowest unemployment rate in the European Union.
The number of unemployed people in Cyprus declined to 16,000, compared with 23,000 a year earlier.
Youth unemployment at 7.8%
Among people aged under 25, the unemployment rate stood at 7.8% in June.
EU and eurozone rates unchanged
Across the eurozone, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 6.3% in June, unchanged from both May 2026 and June 2025.
The unemployment rate across the EU remained steady at 6.0%, also unchanged on both a monthly and annual basis.
Eurostat estimates that 13.3 million people were unemployed across the EU in June, including 11.1 million in the eurozone.
Greece records increase
In Greece, unemployment rose to 8.0% in June from 7.8% the previous month.
Compared with May, the number of unemployed people increased by 79,000 across the EU and by 71,000 in the eurozone.
On an annual basis, unemployment rose by 112,000 people in the EU and by 43,000 in the eurozone.
