EAC Lists Areas Where Smart Meters Will Be Installed in May

Smart meter installations will continue nationwide throughout May, with brief power interruptions expected

The Electricity Authority of Cyprus announced that the mass installation of smart meters will continue throughout May in all districts, covering the areas listed below.

According to the authority, the replacement process requires a temporary interruption to electricity supply, which is not expected to exceed 20 minutes. The EAC apologised for any inconvenience.

Nicosia

  • Engomi and Agios Dometios
  • Areas on both sides of Grigoris Afxentiou Avenue
  • Area between Heroes Avenue, Grigoris Afxentiou Avenue, Agios Prokopios Avenue, Archangelos Avenue, Lefkotheou Avenue and Ilias Papakyriakou Street
  • Area between Grigoris Afxentiou Avenue and Kyriakos Matsis Avenue
  • Area between Grigoris Afxentiou Avenue and Louki Akrita Avenue
  • Dali, including the entire Municipality of Idalion and the village of Potamia

Limassol

  • Area between Misiaouli and Kavazoglou Avenue and Nikolaou Pattichi Avenue
  • Areas on both sides of Archbishop Makarios III Avenue
  • Area between Nikolaou Pattichi Avenue and Archbishop Makarios III Avenue, and Georgiou Averof, Rinou and Theodorou Potamianou streets, up to the Polemidia roundabout

Larnaca

  • Area between Spyros Kyprianou Avenue and Archbishop Kyprianos Avenue, from Makarios Avenue to Archimandrite Makarios Machairiotou Avenue

Famagusta

  • Entire municipality of Ayia Napa

Paphos

  • Chloraka, including the entire Municipality of Chloraka

The Electricity Authority of Cyprus reminded consumers that the installations will be carried out gradually and safely across all districts during the month.
