The United Arab Emirates said on Friday that its air defence systems engaged two ballistic missiles and three drones launched from Iran, in an attack that left three people moderately injured.
The UAE Ministry of Defence said the latest incident was part of continuing Iranian attacks on the country, adding that air defence systems had responded to the incoming threats.
According to the ministry, UAE defences have engaged 551 ballistic missiles, 29 cruise missiles and 2,263 drones since the start of Iranian attacks on the country on February 28.
There was no immediate comment from Tehran on the latest incident.
Meanwhile, video circulating on social media appeared to show smoke near Dubai International Airport. The footage could not be independently verified.
