Three people are being treated in the north for West Nile virus, the "health ministry" in the area announced.
Cases and symptoms
According to reports from the north, two patients presented at healthcare units on Monday with symptoms of an upper respiratory tract infection, including sore throat, fever and fatigue. Both were admitted for treatment and subsequently tested positive for West Nile virus.
Condition improving
According to the announcement, the condition of both patients had improved since Monday and that they are not at risk to their lives.
Third case found through screening
A third individual, who showed no symptoms, tested positive for West Nile virus during routine blood tests.
The health of all three patients is being closely monitored, according to the announcement.
