Fire in Drousia Brought Fully Under Control

The fire broke out on Sunday and burned a small area of wild vegetation. Its cause is under investigation.

A forest fire that broke out on Sunday in the community of Drousia, in Paphos district, has been brought fully under control.

According to an announcement by the Department of Forests of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, the fire broke out in an area of the community at 11:35.

The prompt response by the firefighting forces brought the blaze fully under control at 11:55. It burned a small area covered with wild vegetation.

Five Department of Forests personnel took part in the firefighting operation, using one fire engine. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
