Limassol police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 42-year-old Greek Cypriot woman as a case of unnatural death. According to information, the woman was found dead on Saturday afternoon at her home in the Omonia area, after a neighbour alerted police to an unpleasant smell coming from the upper-floor flat where she lived. The body was in an advanced state of decomposition, and it appears that the woman had been dead for several days without anyone looking for her.

A post-mortem examination scheduled for Monday is expected to establish the exact cause of death, and police inquiries are continuing.
