The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a yellow warning for extreme maximum temperatures for Tuesday, warning that particularly hot conditions are expected across parts of the island.
The warning is scheduled to take effect during the afternoon, when temperatures are forecast to peak at levels considered hazardous for vulnerable groups.
Warning period
According to the Department of Meteorology, the yellow warning will be in effect from 1:00pm until 4:30pm on Tuesday.
Forecast temperatures
The department said the maximum temperature is expected to rise to around 41C in inland areas.
The warning was issued due to the anticipated extreme heat conditions during the specified period.
