Life jackets, equipment and pieces of a vessel have washed ashore at Golden Beach in Karpasia, prompting questions about their origin. The items were initially thought to have a possible connection to the Filo Jet shipwreck off Kyrenia, according to Turkish Cypriot news website Gadara Medya.

The vessel sank and was destroyed during severe weather in the bay between Agioi Anargyroi and Konnos at Cape Greco.
