Paphos Knife Attack Leaves 19-Year-Old in Hospital

A 19-year-old was taken to Paphos General Hospital with injuries to his head and hand after allegedly being attacked by people he knew.

 

Police in Paphos have arrested four young men, aged 19, 21, 21 and 24, as part of an investigation into an alleged assault causing actual bodily harm and knife possession.

The case was reported on the evening of June 8, when police received information that an injured person had been taken to Paphos General Hospital. Officers who went to the hospital found a 19-year-old with lacerations to his head and hand.

According to the complainant, the injuries were caused during an attack by individuals known to him.

During the investigation, police secured testimony against the four suspects. They were arrested on Tuesday afternoon under court warrants and taken into custody.

The suspects are expected to appear before Paphos District Court on Wednesday for remand proceedings, while the Paphos CID is continuing its investigation.
