Activists say calls and emails to the Cyprus Search and Rescue Centre (JRCC) have gone unanswered

Global Flotilla activists have released two videos showing attempts to contact Cypriot authorities and request assistance.

In the first video, an activist is heard calling the Cyprus Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) from Athens, describing the situation and asking for help.

Appeals for assistance

In a second video obtained by Politis, a Greek member of the crew of the vessel Bellela issues a distress call via radio to Cypriot authorities. However, it remains unclear whether the message was transmitted, as Israeli naval forces are reported to block communications in similar situations.

No response reported

According to information, dozens of emails have also been sent by the activists to the authorities, without response.
