According to the Turkish Cypriot online press, speaking in Baku during an event marking Turkish Cypriot cultural days, Üstel said significant progress has been made in contacts with the government of Azerbaijan.

He stated that the two sides are close to signing ‘cooperation agreements’, which are expected to pave the way for regular charter flights in the near future.
