A section of Griva Digeni Avenue in Nicosia will be closed on Tuesday evening to allow police to carry out a reconstruction of a fatal road collision that occurred on March 27.

According to police, the affected stretch concerns the direction from Nicosia city centre towards Engomi. The closure will be in place from 8pm to 10pm, covering the segment from the junction with Agiou Prokopiou Street, near the Kykkos traffic lights, to the light-controlled intersection with 25th March Street.

Traffic in the area will be diverted via Agiou Prokopiou Street towards the Kolokasides roundabout, passing through Delfon, Achaion and Kyriakou Matsi streets.

Police have called on the public for understanding over the temporary disruption and urged drivers to exercise caution and follow instructions from officers on duty.

The reconstruction will be conducted by the Traffic Headquarters’ Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Unit, in cooperation with the Nicosia Traffic Police investigative team.
