Yemen's Houthi forces carried out a missile attack on Riyadh's international airport in Saudi Arabia on Saturday, a well-informed diplomatic source told AFP, after eyewitnesses had earlier reported an explosion and the evacuation of the airport.
Five people are being treated in hospital in critical condition after being injured at the airport, according to a hospital source.
"The Houthis are attacking non-military targets," the diplomatic source said, adding that the airport is not a military target and that the missile struck at around 3pm.
Following the explosion, the airport was evacuated and air traffic was suspended, while ambulances rushed to the scene.
