Two civilian aircraft were intercepted after entering restricted airspace near US President Donald Trump’s golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) confirmed that F-16 fighter jets were scrambled and escorted both aircraft out of the temporary flight restriction zone.

The interceptions occurred close to the private club where Trump was spending the weekend, according to reports by Fox News and the New York Post.
The US military did not disclose how many F-16s were deployed or provide further details about the “general aviation aircraft” involved.
NORAD reminds pilots to check notices
Temporary flight restrictions are routinely imposed around locations visited by the US president for security reasons.
Such zones are occasionally breached, usually by small aircraft whose pilots were unaware of the restrictions. NORAD reminded pilots to check Notices to Air Missions (NOTAMs) regularly before flying.
