Temperatures Reach 35°C With Weather Shift on Friday

Mostly clear skies continue, with temperatures rising slightly before isolated storms return on Friday.

A weak low-pressure system is affecting the area.

Today, the weather will be generally mostly clear, although during the early afternoon there will be locally increased cloud cover, mainly over mountainous areas. Winds will initially be variable and light at 3 Beaufort, gradually becoming mainly south-westerly to north-westerly, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will rise to around 35°C inland, 29°C on the west coast, around 31°C on the remaining coasts and 26°C in higher mountainous areas.

Tonight, the weather will remain mostly clear. Winds will turn mainly north-westerly to north-easterly, light at 3 Beaufort, and the sea will be calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to around 18°C inland and on the northern coast, around 20°C on the remaining coasts and 16°C in higher mountainous areas.

On Wednesday and Thursday, the weather will remain generally mostly clear. On Friday, clouds developing around midday and in the afternoon are expected to bring isolated showers or thunderstorms, mainly in mountainous areas and inland.

Temperatures will rise slightly until Thursday and drop slightly on Friday, remaining close to or slightly above seasonal averages.
