Temperatures to remain below seasonal averages despite slight midweek rise.

A weak low‑pressure system and an unstable air mass are affecting the area.

Today, the weather will be partly mostly cloudy at times, with localised showers. Around midday and later, developing clouds are expected to bring isolated thunderstorms, mainly in the mountains and the eastern half of the island. Hail may fall during storms. Winds will blow from the southwest to northwest at 4 to 5 Beaufort, gradually strengthening to strong, at 5 to 6 Beaufort, and at times reaching strong intensity of up to 7 Beaufort along the southern coast. The sea will be slightly rough, gradually becoming rough. Temperatures will rise to 26°C inland, around 24°C on the south and east coasts, around 21°C on the west and north coasts, and 16°C in the higher mountains.

Tonight, there will be periods of increased cloud, which may bring isolated showers in the west. Winds will blow from the southwest to northwest, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, and up to strong, 5 Beaufort, along the coasts. The sea will be up to rough. Temperatures will drop to 13°C inland, around 15°C on the coasts and 9°C in the higher mountains.

On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the weather will be partly cloudy at times, with isolated showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the mountains and the eastern half of the island after midday. Hail cannot be ruled out during thunderstorms.

Temperatures on Thursday will see a slight rise, however by Saturday a slight drop is expected, with values continuing below average seasonal levels.
