Pension Reform Bill to Be Sent to Social Partners

The proposed legislation will be discussed at Labour Advisory Body meetings scheduled for 19 and 28 August.

 

Cyprus is moving closer to presenting its planned pension reform after Finance Minister Makis Keravnos and Labour Minister Marinos Mousiouttas examined its key provisions during a meeting attended by President Nikos Christodoulides.

The bill will be forwarded to the social partners in the coming days before being discussed by the Labour Advisory Body.

Consultations scheduled for August

Two meetings of the Labour Advisory Body have been scheduled for 19 and 28 August, as previously reported by Politis.

The sessions are expected to focus on the different aspects of the proposed reform and the positions of the social partners.
