Road Closures Planned as Israeli President Herzog Visits Cyprus

Police urged motorists and the public to follow instructions from officers on duty as security measures are put in place.

Police announced increased security measures for Thursday due to the official visit of Israeli President Isaac Herzog to Cyprus.

According to a police announcement, brief road closures will take place at intervals between 9am and 4pm on Thursday.

The measures will affect roads in Larnaca district, the Larnaca–Nicosia motorway and Nicosia district.

The closures are expected to last only a few minutes at a time and will be implemented as required during the president’s movements.

Police have urged members of the public to follow the instructions of officers on dutyand allow for possible delays while the measures are in place.
