Cyprus Airways has announced it is further expanding its route network, with two new year-round direct flights from Larnaca to Munich and Rome starting in December, alongside an additional weekly frequency to Heraklion from late October.

New route to Rome

The new direct connection between Larnaca (LCA) and Rome (FCO) is scheduled to launch on 11 December 2026, with two weekly flights during winter, every Monday and Friday, operating on a year-round basis. The airline said the new route strengthens its presence in Italy, where it already connects Cyprus year-round with Milan (MXP) and seasonally during summer with Venice (VCE).

New route to Munich

The new direct connection between Larnaca (LCA) and Munich (MUC) is scheduled to launch on 17 December 2026, also with two weekly flights during winter, every Thursday and Sunday, on a year-round basis. The airline said Munich adds a further European destination and connectivity hub to its network.

Additional Heraklion frequency

Cyprus Airways also announced an additional weekly frequency to Heraklion (HER) every Wednesday from 28 October 2026. The airline said the third weekly frequency will offer passengers greater flexibility in connections between Cyprus and Crete, further strengthening its presence in Greece alongside its year-round Athens (ATH) route and seasonal summer services to selected popular Greek islands.

Network expansion

The airline said the expansion increases its scheduled routes to 15 destinations, offering passengers more options for direct flights across Europe and the Middle East.

Company statement

Cyprus Airways CEO Thanos Paschalis said the new routes strengthen the airline's and Cyprus's connectivity with Europe and confirm the company's commitment to building a sustainable, year-round network from Cyprus.

Wider network

The press release added that the expansion further strengthens Cyprus Airways' growing European network, which includes year-round scheduled flights to ParisMilanAthens and Heraklion, alongside seasonal routes to BarcelonaVenice and popular Greek islands, as well as additional routes served by charter flights. In the Middle East, the airline maintains a strong network with daily scheduled flights to Tel AvivBeirut and Dubai, offering connectivity to its European network via Larnaca for both leisure and business travellers throughout the year.
