Agia Thekla has long been one of those places that locals keep to themselves. A short drive from Ayia Napa but a world away from its bustle, the beach here is the kind that stops you mid-sentence: crystal-clear, shallow water, white sand, and a small islet sitting just offshore like a postcard prop. Pagida Seaside has made this stretch its home, and on a warm morning with nowhere to be, it is very easy to understand why.

Start the day with brunch
From 10am until 1pm, Pagida Seaside runs a brunch service that sets the tone for the rest of the day. Settle into a sunbed, order a coffee, and let the pace slow down. The menu leans into the kind of food that makes sense by the sea: light, fresh, and put together with care. The croissants have earned a particular following. Sunbeds are available for the full day at around €7 for two, which is the kind of detail that makes a place worth coming back to.

Into the afternoon
Lunch runs from 1pm to 6:30pm and the kitchen keeps things varied enough that the decision of what to order takes longer than it should. Pizza, burgers, salads — the ingredients taste fresh, and the portions are right. Staff are consistently described by visitors as friendly and quick, which matters more than it might seem when you have sand between your toes and a view like this one.

The setting does the work
The venue's blue-and-white decor carries a deliberate Cycladic quality — the kind that makes you feel, for a moment, like you have been transported somewhere else entirely, even though you have not left Cyprus. It is a considered aesthetic choice that sits well against the natural backdrop of Poseidon Beach. Agia Thekla Chapel is a short walk away along the coast, should you feel like stretching your legs before the afternoon sun peaks.
