Cyprus Budget Surplus Rises to €119 Million in Fourth Quarter of 2025

Government revenue and spending both rose sharply in October to December, according to preliminary data from the Statistical Service.

Cyprus recorded a general government surplus of €119.4 million in the fourth quarter of 2025, up from €94.9 million in the same period a year earlier, preliminary fiscal results show.

Total revenue for October to December 2025 rose by €482.4 million, or 11.5%, reaching €4.7 billion, compared with €4.2 billion in the corresponding quarter of 2024.

Total expenditure also increased, rising by €457.9 million, or 11.1%, to €4.6 billion, compared with €4.1 billion a year earlier.

The figures were prepared by the Statistical Service and cover the general government sector.
