Construction works on the sewerage network for wastewater and stormwater in the community of Palodia are progressing as planned, the Limassol District Development Organisation (EOA Limassol) said on Thursday, apologising for the temporary inconvenience caused to residents.

In a statement, the organisation said gravity sewer pipelines have already been installed along Avenitas, Vergina, Melina Merkouri/Lymbouridi, Theseos, M. Karaoli, Ploutarchou, Christodoulou, Gialousas, 1st Christodoulou Side Street, Karpasias, Papaevripidi, Phoebis Papamarkou, Esperidon and Kapsalon streets.

At the same time, works are under way on the main traffic artery of Eleftherias Avenue, which will connect the area to the existing public sewerage system, the announcement added.

EOA Limassol apologised for the temporary inconvenience and thanked the public for its understanding and cooperation, urging residents and motorists to comply with signage and traffic police instructions for safety reasons.
