Thousands rushed to secure tickets for Glastonbury’s 2027 return, despite prices reaching a record high.

Tickets for Glastonbury Festival 2027 sold out in just 42 minutes, organisers have announced.

Thousands of fans of the legendary British festival logged on to the See Tickets platform at 9am UK time on Sunday, hoping to secure a place at the major music event at Worthy Farm in Somerset.

The festival will return after its traditional one-year break, which allows time for the land and infrastructure to recover.

Shortly after 9.40am, organisers announced on Instagram that all tickets had been sold, according to the BBC.

“Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket and we’re sorry to those who missed out, on a morning when demand far exceeded supply,” the official announcement said.

Organisers added that any cancelled or returned tickets will be resold in spring 2027.

Coach ticket packages had already gone on sale the previous Thursday and sold out in less than 30 minutes.

Record-high ticket prices

As confirmed last month, ticket prices have reached their highest level in the festival’s history.

General admission costs £408, around €490, including a £5 booking fee.

That represents an increase of £29.50 compared with the 2025 festival. In 2010, a ticket cost £185.

Despite the rising price, demand remains strong.

Zoe Scott, who has attended Glastonbury twice, said the experience remains worth the cost.

“The price is absolutely worth it. You have the opportunity to see thousands of artists across more than 100 stages,” she said.

The next Glastonbury Festival will take place from 23 to 27 June 2027.
