Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots took part on April 24 and 25 in two music workshops titled Sound Stories of Cyprus III in Pissouri, organised through the cooperation of the bi‑communal Lena Melanidou Choir and the mixed choir of the cultural organisation Epilogi.

According to Epilogi, 65 choristers participated in three consecutive workshop cycles, engaging with sound experimentation and co‑creating original material based on choral singing, tradition and collective performance, under the guidance of conductors Michalis Grigoriou, Kürşat Tilki and Georgia Polyniki.

The organisation noted that language posed no barrier, with the workshops drawing inspiration from Cypriot traditional music shared in both Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot culture. Participants also had time to explore Pissouri, interact socially and build new connections.

The collaboration was described as a strong foundation for continued joint initiatives, with the leaders of both choirs committing to future cooperation and public presentation of the workshop outcomes.
