Residents of 36 buildings deemed unsafe in Limassol have been formally warned after authorities placed notices at their entrances advising against entry.

The Limassol District Organisation of Local Government said its officials visited the properties in recent days, installing stickers reading “Dangerous building – Do not enter” in both Greek and English.

According to the organisation’s president, Yiannis Tsouloftas, the buildings had already been classified as hazardous following inspections.

He also referred to a separate case involving a residential block on Vasileos Georgiou I Avenue in the Germasogeia tourist area, where tenants were given a three-day deadline to vacate.

That deadline expires at midnight on Monday. If residents fail to leave, the organisation is expected to proceed with legal action, including applying for a court order to enforce the evacuation.
