New allegations have emerged concerning the Kolonaki medical practice where Greek singer Giorgos Mazonakis died, according to statements broadcast on ANT1 Greece’s Kalimera Ellada and reported by iefimerida.gr.
A former patient said he visited the practice seeking help to lose weight and made a series of allegations about two doctors working there. He claimed that after conducting a blood test, they recommended that he undergo plasma exchange therapy.
The man said he paid €300 for the consultation and was told the proposed treatment would cost between €6,000 and €10,000.
Patient says he sought advice from his doctor
The man said he contacted his personal doctor, who allegedly warned him: “Do not even think about it. This is not legal and cannot be performed under these conditions.”
He also claimed that staff at the practice told him his blood contained toxins and issued their own prescription to be filled at a specific pharmacy.
“You could not book an appointment. You could only go through a referral,” the man said. “They performed a blood test and told me that my blood contained parasites and that they could fix it.”
He further alleged: “They placed a collar around my head and connected it to a laptop, supposedly to transmit energy into my head. They told me that only plasma exchange could save me.”
According to the man, when he consulted his personal doctor, he was told: “They want to perform dialysis on you inside a medical practice. Leave, or you will die.”
