Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on Western allies to speed up deliveries of ballistic missile interceptor systems, arguing that they could have prevented the deaths caused by overnight Russian strikes that killed 17 people.
Zelenskyy urged allies on Wednesday to send more air defence systems capable of intercepting ballistic missiles, following Russian strikes that killed 17 people overnight. "Ballistic missile interceptors, these are what could have saved the lives of those who died today," Zelenskyy said on social media.
"It is crucial that our partners understand that delays in their supply, or a reluctance to provide anti-ballistic systems, lead directly to such horrific casualties and destruction," he added.
