The Central Bank published detailed data on Wednesday covering deposit and lending rates offered by Cypriot banks in June.
According to the data, the average interest rate on deposits from eurozone-resident households rose to 1.42% in June, up from 1.24% in May.
Ancoria Bank offered the highest deposit rate, at 1.66%, up from 1.23% the previous month. It was followed by National Bank of Greece (Cyprus) at 1.64%, up from 1.53%, Eurobank at 1.51%, up from 1.29%, and Alpha Bank at 1.39%, up from 1.37%.
Cdbbank also offered a rate of 1.35%, up from 1.22% in May. Bank of Cyprus deposit rates fell to 0.96%, down from 1%. Deposit rates at the Cyprus Cooperative Bank (OХС) fell to 0.84%, down from 0.88% the previous month.
Lending rates
The average interest rate on home loans to eurozone-resident households, in euros, regardless of the initial rate-fixing period, for new business and new contracts, fell to 3.18%, down from 3.23% in May.
Cdbbank had the highest lending rate, at 4.15%. It was followed by the Cyprus Cooperative Bank (OХС) at 3.36% and Ancoria Bank at 3.35%.
