Television exit polls released at 18:00 offered the first indication of the composition of the new House, consistently placing DISY in first position and AKEL close behind. They also pointed to a significant rise for ELAM, placing it as the third political force.
The final ballot count confirmed this picture, reflecting the main trends suggested by the exit polls: a close contest for first place between DISY and AKEL, ELAM in third position, a tight race among smaller parties for parliamentary entry and a broader reshaping of the political landscape.
The higher voter turnout, which reached 66.4%, appears to have helped larger parties consolidate their support, leaving smaller parties such as EDEK, DIPA and the Greens outside parliament, while Volt and the Hunters also failed to secure seats.
According to the final results, DISY emerged as the leading party with 27.1% and 17 seats. Exit polls had placed it between 22.5% and 30.2%, with only one projection suggesting it could exceed 27%.
AKEL secured 23.9% and 15 seats, aligning closely with exit poll estimates ranging from 21% to 27.7%, marking a 1.4% increase compared with the previous parliamentary elections.
ELAM recorded 10.9% and eight seats, within the projected range of 9.5% to 14.8%, and showed significant growth compared with 2021.
DIKO achieved 10% and eight seats, again near the upper range of exit poll predictions, which had placed it between 6.5% and 10.5%.
ALMA secured 5.8% and four seats, within the exit poll range of 2.6% to 7.5%.
In the case of Direct Democracy, three exit polls underestimated the result, while two fell within range. The party ultimately secured 5.4% and four seats.
EDEK remained outside parliament with 3.3%, within the 1.5% to 4.5% range predicted by exit polls. DIPA also failed to enter with 3.1%, along with the Greens, whose support dropped to 2%, all results broadly aligned with pre-election estimates.
Volt secured 3.1% but also failed to gain representation, with exit polls indicating a possible range between 1.6% and 5.7%.
Overall, the outcome confirms that exit polls once again provided an accurate general picture of the electoral result, capturing both the hierarchy of parties and the key trends shaping the new parliament.
