Larnaca EOA Introduces Single Licensing Hotline

A new unified phone service aims to simplify licensing enquiries, allowing residents to contact one number regardless of which department handles their case.

The Larnaca District Local Government Organisation (EOA Larnaca) has introduced a new single-contact telephone system for licensing matters, replacing the previous arrangement that required citizens to contact different departments through separate numbers.

One number for all licensing enquiries

From today, members of the public can call 24 501700 daily between 8am and 2pm for any issue relating to the organisation's Development Licensing Directorate.

Under the new system, callers no longer need to identify in advance which department, officer or technician is responsible for their case.

Modernised service

In a statement, EOA Larnaca said the change forms part of a broader effort to modernise public services through the introduction of a new telephone management software system designed specifically for development licensing operations.

The authority said the objective is to make communication with the public more direct, organised and efficient.

Previous system discontinued

Until now, citizens seeking assistance with:

  • Town planning permits,
  • Building permits,
  • Enforcement matters,

had to contact different departments using separate telephone numbers and, in some cases, only during specific days and hours.

The new arrangement replaces that system with a single point of contact.

Requests routed automatically

Calls received through the new service will be handled by a central customer support desk.

Each enquiry will be recorded and forwarded directly to the relevant department, officer or technician, who will then provide the necessary information or follow-up.

Additional staffing and tracking

According to EOA Larnaca, the new software has been introduced alongside additional staffing at the call centre.

The organisation said the system allows requests and responses to be formally logged, monitored and managed through a unified process, helping ensure that residents receive timely and comprehensive information.

Officials said the new approach is intended to improve transparency, streamline communication and make it easier for the public to access licensing-related services.
