Four Arrested Over 10 Paphos Burglaries

Four suspects aged 17 and 18 are accused of targeting shops and stealing cash and property worth about €5,000.

 

Four foreign nationals living in the Nicosia district were arrested on Monday in connection with 10 burglaries and thefts committed across the Paphos district.

The suspects, aged 17 and 18, were detained by officers from the Paphos Criminal Investigation Department under court-issued warrants.

Shops targeted in overnight spree

According to evidence being examined by police, the suspects allegedly travelled on the same motorcycle and struck several premises in succession during the early hours of August 22.

They are suspected of smashing shopfront windows at petrol stations, pharmacies, supermarkets and kiosks, stealing cash and other property with a combined value of approximately €5,000.

Suspects due in court

The four suspects are expected to appear before Paphos District Court on Tuesday morning.

Police will request their remand to facilitate the ongoing investigation.
