Child Benefit And Single-Parent Family Benefit Order Issued For 2026

Beneficiaries approved in 2025 will not need to submit a new application, with payments for 2026 set to begin on May 29.

 

The Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare has announced that the ministerial order covering the payment of Child Benefit and Single-Parent Family Benefit for 2026 has been published in the Official Gazette.

Under the provisions of the order, people who were approved for the above benefits in 2025 will not need to submit a new application for 2026. Their entitlement will be examined automatically by the Welfare Benefits Administration Service.

Payments for 2026 are due to begin on May 29, 2026.

Changes to personal details

Beneficiaries must inform the Welfare Benefits Administration Service if there has been any change in their circumstances that could affect their entitlement, including changes to income from dividends or other relevant information.

Any such changes must be submitted through the online Change of Details Form, available on the Welfare Benefits Administration Service website. Registration with CYLogin and verification of the applicant’s profile are required.

The Deputy Ministry clarified that changes or additional information will only be accepted through the online form.

Those who were approved for Child Benefit in 2025 and wish to apply for Single-Parent Family Benefit for 2026 may also submit their request through the online Change of Details Form.

New applicants

People who were not approved for Child Benefit or Single-Parent Family Benefit in 2025, as well as those applying for the first time, may submit an online application for Child Benefit, or for both Child Benefit and Single-Parent Family Benefit, through CYLogin until December 31, 2026.

Registration with CYLogin and verification of the applicant’s profile are required.

For first-time applicants, the Authorisation Form must also be completed and sent in original printed form to one of the Welfare Benefits Service Points, after arranging an appointment through the Welfare Benefits Administration Service website or by calling 8000 2000.

Applicants and beneficiaries who have an electronic signature may complete, sign and submit the Authorisation Form electronically using their electronic identity.
