Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhürman met Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan for one hour and 20 minutes on Friday, during Mr Fidan’s visit to the north. No statements were made by either side after the meeting.
Details of the meeting
According to reports, the meeting took place at Mr Erhürman’s office. It began at 1.20pm and ended at 2.40pm.
The Turkish Cypriot leader’s special representative, Mehmet Dânâ, also took part.
Further contacts in the north
According to Turkish Cypriot media, Mr Fidan will also meet “prime minister” Ünal Üstel and “foreign minister” Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu.
