Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhürman will not travel to Ankara this week as planned, after a health condition led to the postponement of a two-day programme that included addresses on the Cyprus issue. According to sources the visit has been put back because of an ongoing cervical disc herniation.
Postponement and revised timing
Erhürman had been due in the Turkish capital on 15 and 16 October. ANKA news agency reported that the visit is expected to take place in the near future. However, no revised dates have been announced.
Planned programme in Ankara
During the visit, Erhürman was scheduled to deliver a lecture at the Başkent Meetings. He was also due to speak at a session on the Cyprus issue hosted by the Economic Policy Research Foundation of Türkiye (TEPAV). His programme also included a meeting with journalists.
