Cyprus used its participation at the World Food Poland exhibition in Warsaw to strengthen the international profile of halloumi and expand outreach to Central European buyers.
The three-day event, held from April 14 to 16, is regarded as a key meeting point for the food and beverage sector in the region, bringing together hundreds of exhibitors and industry professionals from across Europe and beyond.
At the centre of the Cypriot presence was halloumi, promoted through targeted tasting sessions that highlighted its quality and export potential. The national pavilion, organised in cooperation with the Trade Centre of the Republic of Cyprus in Warsaw, attracted sustained interest from importers, wholesalers and retail representatives.
Alongside halloumi, the delegation showcased a broader range of export-oriented products, including wines, fresh produce, carob syrup and olive oil, reflecting efforts to diversify Cyprus’ food export portfolio.
Cyprus was represented at the exhibition by officials and industry stakeholders, with Ambassador Nikos Nikolaou also attending.
