More than 9,000 people participated in digital skills training programmes delivered by Cyprus’ Productivity Centre between March 2022 and December 2025. The figures were released as the Centre announced the launch of a new cycle of free training programmes, continuing its focus on digital upskilling across different age groups.
Implementation of digital skills programmes
The Productivity Centre (KEPA) stated that a total of 786 digital skills promotion programmes were implemented during the three-year period. Participation exceeded 9,000 individuals across all programme categories.
KEPA also announced that a new round of programmes is already under way. Interested participants can obtain further information by contacting the Centre directly or through the official training portal.
Funding framework and institutional support
All programmes were offered free of charge and were funded by the European Union under the Recovery and Resilience Facility.
In addition, 126 programmes were implemented as part of KEPA’s cooperation with the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy. This cooperation concluded at the end of 2023.
Programme categories and target groups
According to KEPA, of the 786 programmes delivered, 386 were designed specifically for individuals aged 55 and over. A further 142 programmes were open to the general public.
Another 132 programmes focused on training that leads to ICDL certification, following successful completion of the relevant examinations.
Participation figures by programme type
Participation data shows that 4,590 people took part in digital skills programmes aimed at those aged 55 and over. General digital skills programmes recorded 1,539 participants, while 1,601 individuals attended ICDL certification programmes.
KEPA noted that these figures reflect sustained demand for structured digital training across different segments of the population.
