A motorcyclist is fighting for his life at the Larnaca General Hospital ICU following a collision with a trailer truck this morning on the old Dromolaxia-Larnaca road.
The collision happened under circumstances that have yet to be identified, when the driver of the truck attempted a right turn from an exit to the main street and sideswiped the motorbike that was approaching from the opposite direction.
He was thrown off his bike onto the tarmac and suffered severe injuries, with his condition currently described as critical.
Officers from the Larnaca traffic department, who gathered evidence, found a helmet at the scene as they investigate what led to the accident.
