Police Seize Nearly Three Kilos of Cannabis

The drugs were found in a package that arrived in Cyprus through an airport during routine inspections.

The anti‑drug unit YKAN seized approximately three kilos of cannabis as part of ongoing operations to prevent the importation of illegal drugs into Cyprus.

According to a police statement, the drugs were found in a package that arrived via an airport and contained a total of 2.9 kilograms of cannabis.

The package was detected during systematic checks carried out by YKAN in cooperation with Customs authorities.

Investigations are continuing.
