Advertising service providers are required to submit consolidated statements to the Auditor General of the Republic detailing the services they provided to each candidate, or on a candidate’s behalf, according to an official announcement.

Specifically, the General Returning Officer announces, for the information of all concerned, that under the provisions of Article 52(6) of the Law on the Election of Members of the House of Representatives, entities offering advertising services are obliged to send the Auditor General consolidated statements relating to the services they provide to each candidate or on their behalf.

As stated, these statements must be submitted within one month of the date on which the elections are held. It is emphasised that any entity failing to comply with this obligation commits an illegal act.

All entities that will provide advertising services to candidates are therefore urged to ensure timely and full compliance with the above provisions of the Law, the announcement concludes.
