ALMA will be represented in the new House of Representatives by four MPs after making its first parliamentary entry in the 2026 elections. The party secured seats in Nicosia, Limassol and Famagusta, with its parliamentary group bringing together former institutional figures, an experienced MP, a lawyer and a professional from the health sector.
Nicosia
Odysseas Michaelides

Odysseas Michaelides was born in 1968. He studied civil engineering at the National Technical University of Athens, where he also completed a PhD, and later obtained a degree in economics from the Athens University of Economics and Business. He joined the Audit Office in 1998 and rose through the ranks, becoming director of audit in 2010. In 2014, he was appointed auditor general of the Republic of Cyprus, a position he held until 2024. He later founded ALMA, entering active politics with an emphasis on transparency, accountability and institutional reform. He was elected to Parliament with ALMA.
Irene Charalambidou

Irene Charalambidou was born in 1964. She studied journalism in Greece and holds a degree in psychology. Before entering politics, she worked for many years as a journalist in print and television. She was first elected to Parliament in 2011 and was re-elected in 2016 and 2021. During her parliamentary career, she focused on institutions, public expenditure control, human rights and anti-corruption. She has also served as head of the Cyprus delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and as the Assembly’s Special Representative on Fighting Corruption. She joined ALMA ahead of the 2026 parliamentary elections and was elected to Parliament with the party.
Limassol
Michalis Paraskevas

Michalis Paraskevas was born in Nicosia in 1976. He studied law at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and has worked as a lawyer and legal adviser, maintaining his own law office since 2005. Over a professional career spanning two decades, he has handled cases involving workers’ rights, borrower protection, refugee and migrant rights, police accountability and social insurance issues. He has also been active in public debate as a columnist and media commentator. Paraskevas joined ALMA ahead of the 2026 parliamentary elections, bringing to the party a profile shaped by legal practice, activism and civic engagement.
Famagusta
Litsa Drousiotou

Litsa Drousiotou was born in Famagusta in 1972. She studied dentistry, completing her degree in 1995 with distinction, and after graduating opened her own dental practice, where she continues to work. She is married and has two children. Drousiotou has also been active in organised professional representation, serving as president of the Limassol Dental Association and as a member of the board of the Cyprus Dental Association. Through her professional work, she has built a profile focused on healthcare, public service and direct contact with citizens. She joined ALMA ahead of the 2026 parliamentary elections and was elected to Parliament with the party.
