Torrential rain and strong winds are disrupting traffic on the Nicosia-Limassol motorway. Police have urged motorists travelling between the Latsia weighing station and Kotsiatis to exercise particular caution.
At around 4.45pm, severe weather was affecting Latsia, Pera Chorio Nisou and Kotsiatis, as well as the surrounding road network.
Visibility is limited, while flowing and accumulated water has made the road surface slippery in several places.
Drivers are advised to reduce their speed, maintain a safe distance from vehicles ahead and keep their headlights on.
