New ParaliesLive platform offers real-time images, visitor levels and weather data, with 18 cameras planned across main beaches

The municipality of Paralimni-Deryneia has launched a digital platform offering live updates on local beach conditions, including real-time images, visitor levels and weather data.

The platform, ParaliesLive, provides users with information on air and sea temperatures as well as current weather conditions across the area’s beaches.

In a statement, the municipality described ParaliesLive as “a modern service providing residents and visitors with immediate, real-time information on beach conditions in the area”.

The platform, available at https://paralieslive.com, was developed in collaboration with Neuranet Solutions Ltd and Cosmos Wireless.

Officials said it forms part of broader efforts to use technology to benefit both residents and tourists.

Once completed, the project will include 18 live cameras covering the municipality’s main beaches.

Mayor Giorgos Nicoletto said “the use of technology is a key pillar of our strategy for a modern and smart municipality”.

“Through ParaliesLive we offer an innovative service that facilitates both residents and visitors, while at the same time promoting our municipality’s unique beaches in Cyprus and abroad,” he said.

He added that “the first cameras are already operational, and additional ones will be gradually installed in the coming days until the network is completed”.
