Unpaid Cheques Worth €36,152 Recorded in April

A total of 16 unpaid cheques were presented in April, according to figures published by the Central Bank of Cyprus.

 

Sixteen unpaid cheques, with a total value of €36,152, were presented in April, according to data published on Wednesday by the Central Bank of Cyprus.

The entries made in the preliminary list concerned eight legal entities and three individuals.

In addition, 16 persons were entered in the Central Information Register in April. These included five legal entities, three individuals and eight individuals controlling legal entities.

In the first four months of 2026, a total of 59 unpaid cheques were presented, with a combined value of €178,476. This compares with 84 unpaid cheques worth €179,424 in the corresponding period of 2025.

Over the same period, 48 persons were entered in the Central Information Register. These included 19 legal entities, six individuals and 23 individuals controlling legal entities. In the first four months of 2025, 38 persons had been entered in the register, including 15 legal entities, seven individuals and 16 individuals controlling legal entities.
