Larnaca Airport is currently handling around 230 flights and approximately 36,000 arriving and departing passengers each day, Hermes Airports said on Thursday, as road access to the airport's arrivals area reopened to private vehicles.
Maria Kouroupi, Hermes Airports' Director of Aviation Development, Marketing and Communications, said Paphos Airport was handling around 95 flights and approximately 14,000 passengers a day.
Kouroupi said the reopening of the arrivals access road allows private vehicles to stop briefly to collect passengers. Police officers will be stationed in the area to manage traffic and help prevent congestion, she added.

She also noted that drivers can continue to use the airport's car park, where parking costs €1 for up to 20 minutes, with payment available by card on exit.
According to statements from the Justice Ministry and Cyprus Police, the road leading to the arrivals exit reopened to traffic at 3 p.m. on August 7 as part of efforts to improve traffic flow at Larnaca Airport.
The Justice Ministry said the decision followed an initiative by Justice Minister Costas Fytiris, who convened a meeting to address congestion at the airport. It said the reopening was made possible through close cooperation between the police, the Public Works Department and Hermes Airports.
Police said all private vehicles may now use the arrivals access road to collect passengers. Taxis, however, will continue to pick up passengers exclusively from designated ranks located west of the terminal building, near the bus waiting area.
